An-Nahar: Bagheri Assured Iranian Support to Resistance

An-Nahar Lebanese daily mentioned that Iranian Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri met with the Hizbullah SG political advisor Haj Hussein Khalil in the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, where both discussed the string ties between the resistance movements and the Iranian revolution as well as the political and security intricacies in the Lebanese arena. 

Bagheri assured "Tehran's support to the resistance as it is being targeted, especially in light of talks about the Special Tribunal for Lebanon on the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri to issue an indictment against members in Hizbullah."

"Stability in Lebanon depends on consolidating national unity and the Resistance," said Bagheri.
"Any attempt or act to harm this national unity or the Resistance is an advantage to the enemies," he told a news conference at the Iranian embassy in Damascus. 

Also, the Iranian official met with leaders of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad resistance movements and discussed the latest developments on the internal Palestinian situation in light of an increasing talk on a new Zionist military aggression on the Gaza Strip.
