I take refuge in Allah from the stoned devil. In the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the world. Peace be on the Seal of prophets, our Master and Prophet Abi Al Qassem Mohammad and on his chaste and pure Household, chosen companions and all prophets and messengers.
Peace be on our master and Prophet Mohammad Bin Abdullah and on his chaste and pure Household, chosen companions and all prophets and messengers.
Peace be on you my master and Lord Abu Abdullah - O son of the Prophet of Allah - and on all the souls gathering around your holy site. Peace be on you as long as I remain alive and as long as night follows day. May Allah make it not my last visit to you.Peace be on Hussein, Ali the son of Hussein, the children of Hussein and the companions of Hussein.
Peace be on you scholars, brothers and sisters. Peace be on you all and Allah's mercy and blessing.
First, we must offer our consolation to the Prophet of Allah (peace be on him), his Household, the Imam of our times Ibn Al Hassan Al Mahdi Al Askari (our souls are but a sacrifice for the sake of the soil he treads with his feet), our religious authorities and especially His Eminence Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenai (May Allah prolong his age) and to all Muslims around the world on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the dear grandson of the Holy Prophet, Abu Abdullah Al Hussein (pbuh) along with his household and companions who were killed on this very day - the tenth of Muharam - in year 61 A.H. on the land of Karbala.
First, I must offer my condolences to the dear Iranian people and to the dear Iraqi people for the martyrs who fell on their way to Abi Abdullah Al Hussein (pbuh) in the past couple of days in the criminal bombings that were perpetrated against them.
Brothers and sisters! Also I would like to thank you for your attendance, participation and effort. Be sure that what we are doing today is a humble show of faithfulness to Abi Abdullah Al Hussein and an answer to the call made by Abi Abdullah Al Hussein (pbuh) in Karbala when he stood up and said: Is there any supporter who is ready to support me?
Your attendance today in all regions and countries is new evidence at a new time on the life of Al Hussein, the immortality of Al Hussein and the victory of Al Hussein - the victory of blood on the sword. That's because Al Hussein rose so that Islam remains alive. He made his revolution so that the nation remains a noble, prideful, rebellious, struggling nation that refuses oppression. Through your attendance after hundreds of years you are proving in action, words, jihad and sacrifices that the true Mohammadi Islam was preserved with the blood of the Prophet's grandson and that the nation is alive, noble and prideful and that the call made by Imam Hussein (pbuh) on the tenth of Muharram in the field of Karbala will always be reverberated by all the past, present and future generations. The call of "At your disposal, O Hussein" will remain until the Day of Resurrection.
Brothers and sisters! We have learnt from Al Hussein in Karbala to stick to righteousness and never to abandon it. There are two kinds of rights; there is a right that can be abandoned by its owner and it is mostly related to personal rights. However, there is another kind of rights that can never be let down. It is related to the nation, the land, and its welfare, capabilities, sanctities and dignity. No one is entitled to abandon one iota of the land, one drop of water, a piece of our invaluable sanctities and the dignity of this nation. Today, Palestine and Al Quds are the big title of rights in our time. The nation must support this right, stand by its side and no one is allowed to abandon Palestine from the sea to the river. No one is allowed to abandon Al Quds which stands for the sanctities of this nation.
Tens of thousands fell martyrs on the road to regain Palestine and Al Quds whether they were Palestinians, Syrians, Egyptians, Jordanians, Lebanese, Arabs, Muslims and Christians. This conflict cannot end before the right is restored by its owners and Al Quds returns to the nation. This is the road. This is the option, and this is righteousness.
Days ago, your brothers and sisters in Gaza stood under the hovering of "Israeli" warplanes. From amid the siege, they let the whole world hear the righteous, firm and fixed stance: We will not acknowledge Israel. They said: We will not acknowledge "Israel". We will not abandon one inch of Palestine. Today, from Lebanon, from Dahiyeh that faced the most brutal aggression in July 2006 and was unbroken and its will was not crushed, we proceed with the call of the brothers and sisters in Gaza. They made their cry while they have just stepped out of war and are still under siege. We in Dahiyeh will make our cry as we step out of war and are still facing "Israeli" threat. We too will say the word said by the Prophet of Allah, his Household, companions, nation and religion: As long as there is blood in our veins we shall never acknowledge "Israel".
The nation is now invited to make decisive decisions: the governments, regimes and peoples. Days ago, the Arab Committee met and frankly said that negotiations are just a waste of time. We have reached a dead end. Political choices do not exist. No one may impose a solution on "Israel". They were late to discover that, but they said so yesterday. Anyway, today, on Ashura Day, we call on the nation again: Come to the path of dignity, pride and refusing humiliation. That means come to the path of the resistance and its options. Negotiations and settlements are dead and have become a mere corpse. However, there are some who still refuse to acknowledge its death. Be frank with your people and tell them the truth. Settlement is dead and has reached the end of the road. The only choice before the nation to restore its land, dignity and sanctities is the resistance.
We are not asking you to prepare your armies to attack this oppressive entity. We do not want you to bear what you can't bear. We are solely telling you today: Support Palestine and the resistance of the Palestinian people; stand by this people; lift the blockade off Gaza. Gaza can endure despite the siege and remain steadfast; what if you lifted the siege from Gaza? Offer financial support to the Palestinians of Al Quds to stay and not to quit Al Quds and to the people of Al Quds who live abroad to return to it. Support the residents of the West Bank to stay in the West Bank despite the siege, the burning of olive trees, the damaging of fields and the waste of living opportunities. Stand with this dear people and help them put an end to divisions in the Palestinian square.
You can do this by investing your political and media capabilities to support this people, its resistance and its fighters. Make one attempt after all of these long decades. If our Arab and Islamic governments take a dear, noble position for one week only and declare an end to negotiations and its willingness to listen to the choices of their peoples, you will find the whole world crawling towards you and asking for a chance to resolve the matter.
This opportunity should not be wasted. You must never waste this opportunity.
We in Lebanon have decisively made our choices since the very beginning of the way. We have bargained on the resistance, people and fighters and we've triumphed. The people of Palestine along with all resistance fighters will also triumph as long as there is will, determination, jihad and willing for endless offerings.
Brothers and sisters! In the past few days we received again a bundle or a stream of "Israeli" threats of killing, demolishing, war and the like. On the day of Abi Abdullah (pbuh) and in your name we announce to this enemy, to every enemy and to every friend that these threats don't scare us and cannot weaken our will. Time when you could threaten and frighten us and when we used to feel weak or feeble is over. Today, we stand in the position of making victory and we will make victory. "Israel" that is threatening the resistance in Lebanon was defeated by this same resistance in July 1993, April 1996, May 2000, and July 2006. This resistance has defeated all of your generals and will do so again in the days to come Inshallah.
To us, these threats are but a futile unable psychological war that can never have any effect on our hearts, minds and souls which is haunted by the souls of Sayyed Abbass Mussawi, Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Hajj Imad Moghniyeh and is overflowing with the love of Abi Abdullah Al Hussein.
We tell the Zionists that we are as we were and even better. We are better in our morals, faith, spirituality, will, preparations, armaments and ability to confront you. We are the children of the Imam who was set before two choices. Our choice is that of our Imam (pbuh). On this very day, Al Hussein (pbuh) said a word that will remain immortal and a school for history: "The bastard son of a bastard has put us before two choices: war or humiliation. Humiliation, how remote! Allah does not accept that to befall us, neither his Prophet, nor the believers nor the zealous and haughty souls. They don't accept that we favor the obedience of the ignoble to the death of the noble. This is how we were, how we are and how we will remain.
Also, brothers and sisters, third I will say that in this massive Husseini assembly we assert our adherence and commitment to our country Lebanon, our national unity, and the sound, humane, national and moral relation between all the components of our people with all its sects, factions and currents. We stress our adherence to this dear country which we offered to liberate its soil and restore its dignity our dearest martyrs and our children. We will remain in this position, and we will always be ready to offer sacrifice for the integrity, dignity, sovereignty and persistence of this country.
Fourth, from this Islamic, faithful, jihadi position, we declare our rejection to any sedition among Muslims and especially between Sunnites and Shiites. We stress our continuous adherence to confront any form of sedition which we all must confront because today it is the US-"Israeli" scheme to our nation. During all the past years with all the agonies, challenges and evocative speech which they held, we have never resorted to sectarian speech or factional instigation. We do not believe in such rhetoric and such instigation.
We rather believe that those who resort to sectarian and factional instigation are weak and are resorting to the wrong place.
Today we all need this sense of awareness and responsibility to impede the way before all forms of conspiracies and before those who use media, politics, conspiracies, bombings and ordeals. We must be greater than all of these challenges.
Fifth, the new conspiracy which comes under an international title - meaning the UN Resolution, the STL and the indictment - is meant to target Lebanon and the resistance. My brethrens and I have spoken elaborately about the indictment in the past few months. However today I will say brief points on the issue: We refuse any oppressive accusation against us and against anyone. We will thwart the objectives of this indictment. We have thwarted some of the aims of this indictment as I said yesterday and we will thwart the rest of the aims of the indictment Inshallah.
We will protect our country and our dignity. We will protect our country against sedition and against aggressors and conspirators under whatever attire, title and name they came. I will tell you on the day of victory of blood on the sword: The conspiracy of the STL will go with the wind just like the fate of previous conspiracies.
Today we renew our allegiance to Imam Hussein (pbuh) through our attendance in all these squares. We tell him: We will always answer your call as long as there is a right which is aggrieved; an oppressed aggressed against, a land which is usurped and sanctities which are violated. O our Imam and master, we will not leave the squares. We are not claiming that. We have been in the fields for long years.
Nothing will stand between us and between supporting you and supporting righteousness - whatever the right was. We do not cling to money, children or anything from the wrecks of this mortal world. When the crowds answer the call of Imam Hussein (pbuh) today they will be doing that from the position of those who have tried and gained victory in this experience. Thus we tell him today also: O our Imam! O our master as we used to answer your call every year, we answer your call this year too: At your disposal O Hussein.
We will bid you farewell with the same call until next year to assert for you the truthfulness of our allegiance and steadfastness until next year and all the years to come. We will not be weak. We will not lack courage. We will not give in. We will always be in the positions of jihad to bring dignity to our country and to our nation. We will fortify the elements of strength to protect our country and our people against all the threats that surround it. We know that with our belief in you, our love to you, our adherence to your grandfather, father and chaste infallible children and immortal words, the road we follow under your name and under your banner will only end with victory and pride.
We end up from where we started brothers and sisters. Together we will renew our allegiance to Al Hussein and to the grandson of Imam Hussein. We will renew our allegiance to the martyrs who fell with our brethrens in the very way of Al Hussein. We will always tell him: Our souls, families, wealth and blood are offered as a sacrifice for you. Forever we will say: At your disposal O Hussein.
May Allah reward you abundantly. May Allah reward you the best reward of the good believers who console, fight and work for the sake of Allah. Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessing.
