Hizbullah, Islamic Popular Front: New PM Must Confront Conflict Conspiracy, Politicized STL
Local Editor
The joint political committee of Hizbullah and the Islamic Labor Front discussed in its regular meeting in Beirut, the latest development on the local, regional and international level.
Hizbullah was represented by Sheikh Abdul Majid Ammar and Mohammad Saleh, while the Labor Front was represented by Sheikh Zohair Jeid, Sheikh Sharif Totio, and Mahmoud Badan.
Both sides confirmed in a statement issued, the importance of having the new Prime Minister committed to national issues that help protect Lebanon and its resistance.
The statement referred that the new PM should also abide by laws that protect Lebanon's security, stability and his internal unity, in addition to confronting conflict conspiracies and the politicized Special Tribunal.
In this context, Hizbullah and the Islamic Labor Front believed that the new national PM should be loyal to Lebanon, and should work on disabling the tribunal's indictment.
Both parties held former PM Saad Hariri and the March 14 coalition, responsible for sabotaging and failing the Saudi-Syrian efforts, in addition to their acceptance of the US conditions.
On this level, the joint political committee's statement pointed out that the said led the opposition to adopt quick appropriate measures to protect the country, its security and stability.
Furthermore, the opposition aimed at blocking the way for the US, so the latter won't be able to achieve their inciting schemes.
Both parties stressed on the importance of immunizing the internal field and working on the unity of the people in confronting threats targeting Lebanon.
On another level, both parties said that the recent "Truth Leaks" broadcasted, revealing phone calls and meetings between former PM Saad Hariri, False Witness Zuhair Al Siddik, Wissam Al Hassan, and Gerhard Liman, represents a dangerous issue, affirming that the Lebanese judiciary should take action and investigate in what is needed.
