Qaouk: Resistance Concern Not Share in Government But Defending Lebanon

Deputy Head of Hizbullah Executive Board Sheikh Nabil Qaouk assured that the Opposition's current confrontation is not for realizing political aims and is not a challenge to any sect or party in Lebanon, adding "The Resistance is not concerned about getting a share in the government. Its greatest concern is to protect and defend Lebanon and its dignity from US conspiracy which aims at serving "Israeli" interests.

Sheikh Qaouk considered that the scandalous audio leaks as well as the political bargains assure that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is just a tool and bridge to reach "Israel's" goals in Lebanon.
During a memorial service in Srifa village in South Lebanon, Sheikh Qaouk stressed that the STL does not enjoy any credibility anymore, particularly due to the Wikileaks and Hakika Leaks (truthleaks) scandals.

He further noted that the STL decisions have become paralyzed after the courageous and daring steps of the Opposition, adding "These decisions can stay in New York and The Hague, but has no room in the Lebanese arena."
The Hizbullah official warned that "Israel" was the most enthusiastic to see the issuance of the unjust indictment, which actually exposes all the international tribunal's intentions, whether on the domestic, regional, or international levels.

Sheikh Qaouk pointed out that all concerned countries are now acting based on the assumption that the stage following the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's (STL) indictment is different than the period before it, adding "This is a new formula. The US and those who fabricated the false testimonies and false witnesses in Lebanon and the region have bowed to this formula. We do not want to harm anyone, we want to keep our hand stretched to all the Lebanese but on the basis of blocking the way before the US scheme, and before the "Israeli" aims in Lebanon which creep under the cover of STL."
"From this point, we emerge to build a country that preserves the accomplishments of the resistance, the dignity of its resistance fighters as well as all the Lebanese," he stressed.
