MP Raad: Hizbullah-FPM Understanding Memorandum, Chance for Stronger Country, Confronting Foreign Threats
On the 5th year anniversary for the understanding memorandum between the Free Patriotic Movement and Hizbullah, the youth section in Hizbullah's central Educational Mobilization organized a meeting between Head of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc and Head of Youth and Students Affairs committee in the Free Patriotic Movement.
The meeting was held in presence of a student delegation from the Educational Mobilization Representatives, in the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc's headquarters in the Airport Road, Beirut.
On his part, MP Mohammad Raad welcomed the Free Patriotic Movement delegation and confirmed that the memorandum of understanding has opened a new page for the country, and represented a true chance to meet its components, because it was committed to one national case, and not just for folklore.
Head of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc stressed that the memorandum of understanding is being followed without any efforts because the values are mutual between both parties.
He also referred that not one party was able to direct Lebanon as it wanted, because Lebanon should be for everyone, confirming that the memorandum of understanding expresses both parties' ambitions possibly to be implemented.
MP Raad added, "We accomplished many achievements in this context, and what's requested today is to continue in the same thrust, and cut the way for all attempts to stop what we have started".
On another level, MP Mohammad Raad referred to Egypt's uprising, saying it reminds people of the former opposition's experience in Beirut's sit in, stating that experiences are transferred between countries.
"We are proud that our struggling experience is followed for freedom and democracy", MP Raad stated.
Furthermore, MP Mohammad Raad affirmed that if the other team tried to build a country, it will not meet March 8th's ambitions and expectations.
Raad further stated that here lies the importance of the memorandum of understanding between the Free Patriotic Movement and Hizbullah.
He added, "We are now in front of a new stage in politics, and this comes as a result of the piling up of the many struggles".
MP Raad pointed out that the most important of what happened, in light of the memorandum of understating, is creating a chance to build a strong country to confront threats and foreign assaults.
Raad stated that those who feel the importance of sovereignty towards their country are the only ones to exactly know the meaning of sacrificing for their country.
On his part, Head of Youth and Students Affairs committee in the Free Patriotic Movement, Mario Chamoun, praised the special relation between the students of Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement in universities, in addition to the tight relation between their representatives.
Chamoun confirmed that this is due to the joint memorandum of understanding, adding that when they meet with Hizbullah officials, it is as if they meet with their officials, for their perspectives and goals are one.
The Free Patriotic Movement representative said that there was some kind of harmony between both parties' students in universities, which was later enhanced after the signing of the understanding memorandum.
