Fayyad: McCain, Lieberman Stance Blatant Intervention in Lebanese Affairs to Hamper Government Formation

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Ali Fayyad said on Wednesday "The visit of US Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman and the stances they held out are barefaced meddling in Lebanon's domestic affairs," adding that the aim behind such blatant interference is to impede the formation of the Lebanese government.

"The US seeks to hold Lebanon as a hostage for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. They want to target the stability we are seeking...The US concocts plots against democracy and peoples' decisions all over the Arab world," he stressed.

Fayyad spoke during a ceremony on Wednesday at Al Rassoul Nursing Sciences Institute on the occasion of the Prophet's anniversary.
