Report: “Israel” Illegally Interrogates, Tortures Children

A new report on Wednesday revealed that children as young as seven years old are being subject to torture in "Israeli" prisons.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Detainee Affairs, since the beginning of 2011, "Israeli" soldiers have abducted 150 children and all of them were interrogated during the course of their imprisonment. Many were subjected to harm treatment such as hitting, psychological abuse, violence and the threat of violence without a parent or adult representative present.
There are currently over 35 Palestinian prisoners in "Israeli" prison camps who are under the age of sixteen, and 190 who are between sixteen and eighteen years old.
The center said that "Israel" is escalating its violations and attacks against children and youths in Al Quds by kidnapping them, attacking them and enforcing house arrests.
All kidnapped children were interrogated in a number of police stations in Al Quds and were accused of hurling stones at "Israeli" soldiers, policemen, and under-cover units of the "Israeli" army.
Most of them were severely tortured and were violently beaten by the arresting soldiers and officers.
The Center also said that "Israeli" settlers and settlement guards also participated in the arrests, the transfer to detention center and even the interrogation of the detained children.
