Aoun from Bkirki: In light of Threats Surrounding Lebanon, Time is Not Suitable to Abandon Arms

Head of Change and Reform Bloc MP General Michel Aoun considered that in light of the threats surrounding Lebanon, time is not suitable to abandon the arms protecting it.
After his visit to Bkirki, Aoun thanked Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir for his long service as Lebanese Patriarch, and for the services hi presented to Lebanon and the Lebanese.

Aoun referred that his visit comes to confirm his gratitude for the long years of service, and to stress on his support to Bkirki.
MP Michel Aoun added that everyone passes through this life, but the power is through the continuity of the institutions, praising Bkirki's continuity and survival and what it symbolizes.

On the level of electing a new Patriarch, Aoun said that the Synod of Maronite Bishops knows best, and the Bishops themselves know how to deal with the people.
"I'm not the one to advice them and they know what should be tackled", Head of Change and Reform Bloc said.

He also hoped that their Excellencies the Bishops will elect a new Patriarch who would work under the framework of love, faith and hope.
