Sheikh Qassem: Indictment Legitimacy Collapsed After Presenting Facts, New Government Should Stop Constitution Breaches

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed that his party's stance will not change regarding agreement and cooperation in the national unity government.
Sheikh Qassem added this comes as Hizbullah is now among the "New Majority", stating that its beliefs are based on foundations that get along with Lebanon's interests.
In a speech he delivering during a eulogy event, Sheikh Qassem stated, "Since the very beginning we said yes to partnership, and we haven't changed our position and desire for this partnership to be national between all parties so that they would be in one government. Yet what's rest of March 14 refused agreement and participation".
Sheikh Qassem affirmed this is March 14's choice, adding that they have the right to choose what they want, adding that agreement cannot happen by force, but rather should be by the will of all parties.
His Eminence confirmed that the new majority team hasn't excluded them [March 14] from the government, but they [March 14] have excluded themselves. He clarified that is why they should hold responsibility of excluding themselves, and not blame the new majority for that.
Sheikh Qassem wondered, "They have the right to oppose the government's program, but I don't understand what are they opposing, for no government is formed yet, and no ministerial statement is published, and the details of the ministerial statement are not yet clear".
Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General pointed out that March 14 is saying they are the opposition, explaining, "Yes they are an opposition to sabotage the country, and an opposition that does not want to government to be forms or work. This is not an opposition!"
His Eminence clarified that the opposition usually seeks to oppose a political or social pattern after the government decides what to do. On this level, Sheikh Naim Qassem said that causing chaos and objecting the government's path because they are not in power, then this is not an opposition, but is an obstacle in people's lives.
Furthermore, Sheikh Qassem hoped the new government would be a new change to achieve a group of goals, first of which would be to stop the breaching in the constitutions, and second is to reconsider implementing laws on financial exchange, and sign international treaties.
Sheikh Qassem stated that the new government should also put an end to the administrative and financial corruption taking place five years so far, also to those claiming to be close to the government, and the false witnesses hiding behind them, leading the country towards US-"Israeli" interests.
His Eminence believed the aforementioned are a big responsibility that should be given a priority to save Lebanon from what is has been through.
Sheikh Qassem hoped the new government would be able to restore Lebanon's national sovereignty and the constitution's respect, saying "Sadly through this period of time, we have witnessed how the national sovereignty was violated, and how the country was humiliated, and how the constitution was breached over and over again".
Regarding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), Sheikh Qassem added, "We [Hizbullah] are not waiting for the indictment, not written or not even after it is announced through the French officials". In this context, Sheikh Qassem clarified that Hizbullah considered the indictment was issued by Der Spiegel a year and a half ago, saying that the indictment was met with facts, and thus its legitimacy collapsed, adding that writing it today will not make any difference.
"We have presented compelling evidences, for Hizbullah Secretary General has presented evidences accusing "Israel", but they were not adopted, although they [STL] were stunned with it. We have presented data about the breach in the telecommunication network, which later on was said they could not be adopted for an accusation", Sheikh Qassem affirmed.
His Eminence pointed out, "We said that the false witnesses are a threat on Lebanon and on the truth, and that they were who caused to arrest of four major generals for four years, and misled the Lebanese-Syrian relations after accusing Syria [in Rafiq Hariri's assassination]".
Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated, "We said that the breach of sovereignty is continuing, for the fingerprints of four million Lebanese will be in the service of "Israel"".
On the other hand, Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General referred to that the other team [March 14] has presented leaks and incitement triggers and organized meeting with the US officials, including the US Ambassador in Lebanon, in order to discuss how to bait Hizbullah and Syria in the trap.
In addition to the aforementioned, Sheikh Naim clarified that the STL has two duties, "First is the US assault on Lebanon's power and resistance, so it [Lebanon] would not be capable to confront the "Israeli" scheme. Second is a support for the March 14 to amend the power scaled on the Lebanese level, in addition to compensate their losses and a declining rate in their popularity through leaning on a supportive international power for them [March 14] to be more powerful in Lebanon".
