Mikati’s Circles to As-Safir: Countdown to Government Birth Starts at Beginning of Next Week

Miqati's circles told As Safir newspaper that the countdown for the formation of the cabinet would start at the beginning of next week because the premier-designate will intensify contacts with all leading political factions.

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper, Mikati's circles said the PM-designate will intensify hid consultations and meetings with the political factions by the beginning of next week in order to put a governmental equation that suits all sides and parties and which can be beneficial for the coming phase. In this context, Mikati vhad his first visit with Faisal Karameh, son of the former Prime Minister Omar Karameh.

The paper also quoted informed sources that described the developments as very important and implied the formation of a government very soon.

Also, Mikati would most probably hold a meeting with Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun.
