Islamic Jamaa Political Council Member, former MP Asaad Harmoush, confirmed that the Jamaa has taken a decision not to take part in the March 13 rally Sunday, saying, "Because simply, we are not in the March 14 team".

Harmoush clarified, "We took part in former meetings regarding this memory, and we agree with March 14 on one issue, which is the injustice subject to former PM Rafiq Hariri".

In this context, Asaad Harmoush stated that apart from the aforementioned, whether in issuing a political statement or participating under other political titles, the Islamic Jamaa is not concerned.

In an interview with Al-Akhbar newspaper, Harmoush stressed that the Jamaa distinguishes its stances from those of the March 8 and 14 teams when it comes to internal issues, and at the same time, keeps its good relations with both teams.

He confirmed, "Our stance regarding the resistance is historical, principle and firm, where the resistance arms should be protected as it is important to confront the US-"Israeli" dominating scheme in the region. Our position initiates from the fact that we consider ourselves part of the resistance project in the Arab and Islamic worlds".

"We will not be dragged into aggressive stances towards the resistance arms", Asaad Harmoush stated, hoping that his party's decision not to take part in the March 13 rally would not negatively affect its relation with the Future Movement.
