Lebanon Files Complaint to UNSC over Zionist Maritime Violation
Local Editor
Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced that Lebanon, through its mission to the UN in New York, filed a complaint to the UN Security Council (UNSC) after a Zionist enemy naval boat violated the Lebanese maritime borders on February 6.
The violating "Israeli" boat also shot live ammunition towards the Lebanese coastal waters.
In its filed complaint, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry stressed that this violation represents a blatant breach of Lebanon's sovereignty, the UNSC resolution 1701, the international law, and the UN Charter.
The Ministry added that the "Israeli" breach further represents a threat to the international peace and security.
Furthermore, Lebanese Caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Shami asked head of Lebanon's permanent mission to the UNSC to coordinate and contact the council's members, in light of the resolutions adopted in the Ministerial meeting of the Union of the Arab League.
