ESCWA Pro-Bahrain Protest: Lebanese, Regional Support to Bahrain
As I walked along the streets in Lebanon, all I could listen to is people talking about the "Regional crisis". Indeed, it has become an issue of vast concern, on the regional and international levels.
After the Tunisian Jasmine revolt and the Egyptian revolt were met with success on the popular level, other regional countries also started their way towards a "change and reform" revolution against their decades-long tyrant regimes.
Libya, Yemen, and Bahrain are witnessing the most escalating events. Bahrain on the significant level, is witnessing some events that have been reminding people of vicious practices conducted by the brutal "Israeli" enemy against the Palestinian civilians.
The Bahraini troops are not showing any mercy with the Bahraini peaceful rallies, where people are being killed and injured during all time rallies.
Men, women, youth, and children are all victims of the tyrant regime, which is getting military aid from "neighboring" Arab countries to stop any attempt to protest against the government.
To express support and solidarity with the Bahraini people and their revolution, the national forces and parties in Lebanon called for holding a demonstration to protests the bloody Bahraini authority assaults against its people.

Thousands of Lebanese people gathered outside the ESCWA (Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia) headquarters in Down Town Beirut, to take part in the peaceful demonstration to call for the end of brutal attacks on the Bahraini people.
Many officials and political representatives participated in the national protest, organized to prove the regional-Arab common sense of identity, where all Arabs should support each other in all ordeals.
On his part, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Ali Ammar denounced the massacres committed by the Bahraini regime, in cooperation with the Emirati and Saudi troops, against the Bahraini people in the Manama.
Ammar confirmed that the US administration seeks triggering incitement once again, through exploiting sectarian classifications.
"Like we stood in support with the Arab nations in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya, we stand today to support the Bahraini nation, which is refusing to be drowned into sectarian incitements. We express solidarity with the Bahraini elders and youths, in order to support the causes of right, dignity, freedom, sovereignty, change and reform", MP Ali Ammar stated.

Furthermore, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP referred to that the uprising is for the sake of pride and dignity, and it is the "twin revolution" to those of Egypt, Libya, and the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine.
Ali Ammar believed that the Bahraini uprising has presented a civilized peaceful model, where the people protested weapons-free.
He warned from the US double-standard game which gave the green light to all attacks taking part, adding that the US administration is the direct responsible side for the constant crimes taking part in the Bahrain.
MP Ammar added that the US has played an inciting and supporting role to all measures adopted against the Bahraini protesting people.
MP Ali Ammar praised all martyrs who were victims of the Arab revolutions, expressing sorrow over the loss of innocent people in all the Arab region, especially in Bahrain, further hoping victory for the Bahraini people in their peaceful uprising.
On another hand, Mount Lebanon Unity Bloc MP Fadi Al Awar said, "We gathered today in front of the ESCWA to raise our voice against what is happening in the Bahrain. The people of Bahrain are peaceful people who seek change and reform in their country's regime, through peaceful protest".
In this context, Al Awar added that the US scheme is trying to change the track this popular revolution, triggering in it sectarian incitement, turning it into a civil dispute.
"The [Arab] kings and princes do not seek but their own interests on the expense of their nations", Al Awar affirmed.
He added that Bahrain, in all its elements including men, women, and children are all being attacked.
"We will be by the people of Bahrain, and hope them great victory after long patience", MP Fadi Al Awar stated.
Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Walid Sukariyeh, on the other hand, said that Bahraini revolution is a rightful revolution of a modern country that is expressing its expectations of its sought regime.
"The assaults that the Bahraini people were subject to, reveal the tyranny of the Bahraini authorities and regime, which also reminds us of the people in Palestine", MP Sukariyeh said, in reference to the "Israeli" brutal attacks against the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
MP Walid Sukariyeh affirmed that the disputes against people in the region represent an "Israeli" need sought by the US in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Bahrain, that also seeks to drawn this region in a sectarian conflict.
"We stand with the Bahraini people in their revolution, and so do we stand with other Arab revolutions to get rid of all oppressing tyrants", Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP noted.
As the people continued to express support to the Bahraini people, more Lebanese and regional positions appeared to confirm solidarity with the attacked territories.
On his level, the Nation Movement Secretary General Abdel Nasser Jabri praised the Bahraini revolution, affirming all the Lebanese people's support to them. He also called for the unity of their stance, urging the Bahraini authorities to stop their bloody assaults against the peaceful rallies.
"We wager on the unity of the Bahrainis, and that the US enemy would not be capable of installing incitement and hatred between the people in Bahrain", Sheikh Jabri stated.
Head of the Kawluna wal Amal (Say and Deed) association, Sheikh Ahmad Qattan praised the Bahraini popular revolution from "Lebanon, the land of the resistance which defeated the "Israeli" enemy in 2000 and 2006".

Sheikh Qattan said the Bahraini popular uprising seeks change and reform in their regime in order to have a better just future. He further called upon all the Muslims in Bahrain to stand hand in hand in their national unity, and pray together under the name of "National and Islamic unity".
Qattan also criticized the Gulf-Arab troops who are participating in attacking the Bahraini people, wondering where they were in Palestine, when the "Israeli" troops were and still are assaulting and killing the Palestinian people.
From Bahrain to Lebanon, came the Bahraini February 14 revolution representative, Sayyed Jaafar Al Alawi.
He thanked the Lebanese people, on behalf of the February 14 revolutionists, praising them and all the free nations of the world for supporting the Bahraini people in their peaceful uprising.
Sayyed Al Alawi reiterated that "The people want to remove the regime", further referring to the unjust royal regime's practices in Bahrain against its own people; attacking and killing them.
"The people of Bahrain ask the Lebanese people to support them in their cause, and let next week be the week of solidarity with the Bahraini people", Sheikh Jaafar urged the Lebanese people.
"We address the Bahraini regime; you will not abandon our revolution", the Bahraini February 14 revolution representative reaffirmed.
On behalf of the Lebanese Free Patriotic Movement, Bassam Hachem pointed out that the "Israeli" defeat was the beginning of the domino effect which is now witnessed in the region.
He said now it is time of the movement towards deteriorating and removing all tyrants' regimes.
"The time of mandates, fear, surrender, defeats and dependency has gone, and the change and reform movement has begun", Bassam Hachem confirmed.
Sheikh Ahmad Zaghmout on his behalf stated, "We want this nation and all Islamic nations to support the Bahraini people and cause". He said "We will stand by Bahrain, Palestine, and Iraq, today, tomorrow and the day after, until the revolutionary goal is achieved".
Also from Bahrain, Head of Bahraini Opposition, Sheikh Hussein Haddad took part in the ESCWA rally, where he thanked all those taking part and organizing the protest in support with the Bahraini people and revolution.
"Bahrain now is in big crises, including a heavy assault by "civilian-dressed" militias attacking the people of Bahrain", Sheikh Haddad expressed concerns.
He further revealed, "I received information that the government is installing weapons in some civilian cars, and later on break into them and claim that the weapons are owned by the people".
Sheikh Hussein Haddad called upon the Lebanese people to keep on supporting the Bahraini people, as the latter supported the people of Lebanon in 2006.
The US and western powers backing the Arab-tyranny regimes' assaults against their people should by not understand, that the will of the people is far more powerful than that of the authorities.
This is not enough, for Arabs themselves should be aware of their Arabic common identity, giving them a push forward to defend their sanctities throughout the Arab world.
