Al Akhbar news paper continues publishing the Wikileaks cables, which are revealing the intensity of anti-resistance conspiracy during the Zionist aggression against Lebanon in July 2006.

The series of collusion scandals against the Lebanese people goes it, and this time, there are statements, or more of announcements or notification conducted by several Lebanese political figures, who shared with the US Embassy in Beirut during the way, the operation of forming a "hive" which aims at defeating Hizbullah.

Jmayel: Hizbullah Victory a Disaster

From the uncovered cables that are signed by former US Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffery Feltman, there is a meeting between the latter and head of the Lebanese Phalange Party Amine Jmayel was revealing, taking place in July 23 2006.

During the aforementioned meeting, Jmayel, due to his extreme view towards Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said "Nasrallah fooled all Lebanon through the national dialogue, and he is totally aware that the result of his campaign will determine the fate of the Hizbullah-Iran axis". He also considered that "Hizbullah's victory will be a disaster for Lebanon, because its elements will have total control over Lebanon, adding that Hizbullah's Syrian and Iranian allies will have more powers throughout the Middle East". Jmayel added, "The Christians, Sunnis, Druze, and even the Shiites have had enough of that".

Regarding the destruction caused by the aggression, Jmayel said, "The Lebanese are starting to doubt Hizbullah's leadership, despite Nasrallah's promises last week with clean money (with strict criticism to Saad Hariri's campaign) to rebuild the South".
Jmayel's stances did not stop at criticizing Hizbullah, but he also expressed his historical hatred to MP Michel Aoun, where Jmayel, during his meeting with Feltman, described Aoun as a rash, sick, crazy, and shallow opportunist.

He also referred to that "Aoun is holding to an agreement with Hizbullah, because he wagered that Syria and Hizbullah will be the leaders in the current crisis". Jmayel went on saying, "Aoun coordinated with the Mossad during the civil war, and now he is in an alliance with Hizbullah and Syria because he believes they gave him the perfect chance to achieve his old will in winning the position of the President". Jmayel claimed, "The strong support of Hizbullah to Aoun is making him lose the trust of his members of parliament, and the Christian voters".

Furthermore, Amine Jmayel demanded a "constant support from the US administration to publish this message through the Media, in supporting the March 14 coalition, and developing the Lebanese government apparatuses".
He added, "The coordinated Media strategy, which will initially depend on the media outlets, will also fight the Arab-Islamic view launched by Hizbullah's propaganda stating that Hizbullah's capability of durable resistance against the ‘Israeli" enemy is a victory".

Head of the Phalange party also claimed, during his meeting with Feltman, that "Former MP Emile Emile Lahoud is involved in money laundering, within the scandal of the Oil for Food Program".

When writing his cable, Feltman commented on Jmayyel's expressing "If Jmayyel was able, along with the rest of the March 14 members, to prepare Amal movement, and the moderate Shiites to be alternatives to Hizbullah, with a media campaign launched against the irresponsible Hizbullah adventures and the destruction they caused; then maybe these forces [March 14] would be capable of heaving the Shiite popular support to Hizbullah".

The cable added, "No doubt that Nabih Berri hates it [Hizbullah], maybe more than any other Lebanese politician, but he depends on them to support him in the South elections, then he will be more than happy to escape Hizbullah's control".

US Embassy Seeks to Find Out Lebanese People's Stances About Hizbullah

The Wikileaks cables revealed that during war, the US Embassy in Beirut worked intensively to see what the Lebanese people think about Hizbullah.
The Embassy asked all Lebanese politicians it met about the people's opinion in this regard, and in this context, it took into consideration the opinions of some Lebanese journalists like Ali Amine, Mohammad Salam, and University Professor Ahmad Mousally, in addition to former UNIFIL spokesperson Timur Goksel, believing they are experts in Hizbullah affairs.

On this level, Goksel believed that the "Ground "Israeli" operation is exactly what Hizbullah wants, according to a Hizbullah source". He also added, "They wish "Israel" would for a while stay inside the Lebanese territories. The Hizbullah men who stood out to the "Israeli" progress in Maroun Al Ras, and inflicted the major losses to the "Israeli" enemy, where only 17 resistance fighters, 7 of them were killed. Those were the resistance fighters of the southern villages, and not the resistance's special forces, which were still waiting for the second stage of war to take part in the battles".

Jumblatt: Hizbullah Fighters Want to Die Martyrs, Won't Hesitate Bombing Themselves to Kill "Israeli's"

In a cable dated back to August 6 2007, Feltman mentioned the details of the dinner between him, US Assistant Secretary of State David Walsh, and former Minister Marwan Hamadeh, in presence of MP Walid Jumblatt.

During the dinner, Jumblatt warned that, "The little efficiency of "Israel" during its ground operations and intelligence, represents a threat on "Israel" and on the region". Jumblatt deduced that the situation now is for the best of Hizbullah, as long as the organization is based on the culture of death", adding "Hizbullah fighters want to die as martyrs and they will not hesitate before bombing their selves to kill the "Israelis"". He said that "The "Israeli" soldiers are not as powerful as their predecessors, and it's dangerous for that weakness to be revealed".

Hamadeh: There Might Be Need for More Destruction

As for Hamadeh, on his part he expressed concerns from the two seize fire decisions, which will be adopted by the UN instead of announcing one resolution that would tackle threats at once. Hamadeh stated, "Occupying the villages will represent a strike to Hizbullah, because all the villages were liberated before the clashes. There might be a need for more destruction". He also stressed that "pressure on the Shiites should continue before the seize fire offer, or the money offer".

Hamadeh and Jumblatt suggested that Walsh would approach Speaker Nabih Barri, as he occupied the position as the highest Shiites leader in the government.

Another cable, dating back to August 14 2006, seize fire day, reveals that when Foad Siniora met with UN Security Council Permanent Member States, to discuss the post-war steps, Feltman brought up the issue of enhancing the Lebanese government's censorship on the airport and ports. Back then, Siniora confirmed that he will work on enhancing and increasing security standards in it, yet he said, "I will not pursue ghosts, because 99.9% of smugglings happen through the Lebanese-Syrian land borders, and the smugglers are not stupid to use the airport and the ports".

Pederson Advices Occupation of all Lebanese Territories

UN Secretary General Special Representative to Lebanon, Geir Pederson, also took part in the Wikileaks cables, where in a meeting he held with Feltman in July 18 2006, Pederson considered that "The only way through which "Israel" would destroy the military wing of Hizbullah is through occupying all the Lebanese territories. Since this operation has intolerable prices, then the only solution for "Israel" is through political understanding".

According to Wikileaks, regarding what occurred "behind the political scenes during the aggression on Lebanon four years ago, then Zionist Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni clarified to David Walsh in August 8 2006, that restoring disputed territories, as part of a solution into the current crisis, will be a reward to the aggression". She said, "Hizbullah is becoming more powerful", also added ""Israel" and the US have agreed on tackling the Shibaa issue after resolution 1559 implementation".

The same cable also stated that Siniora on his part sought to have the majority of the Muslim UNIFIL troops being Sunnis.

Walsh Hand in the Outcome of his Meetings with Lebanese Officials to Livni

During Tzipi Livni's meeting with Walsh, the latter informed her of the outcome of his meeting in August 4 and 5 in Lebanon, with each of Siniora, Hamadeh, Jumblatt, Pederson, Berri, and Maronite General Natal Malawi.

Walsh informed Livni with the following:

- Speaker Berri considers he is capable of representing the Shiite people's interests, but he doesn't feel he is obliged to do so.
- The Maronites are divided more than their views, and they have enmity against Hizbullah, Syria, Iran, more than all other sects.
- Walsh's hosts requested US assistance in reconstructing bridges (infrastructure)
- All Lebanese figures agree on the same view regarding the Shibaa farms, including the importance they see of this issue, and because its solution could prevent Hizbullah from its resistance claims
- The Lebanese seek a truce agreement that could cover them up to they would be capable of coming up with initiatives with "Israel", and they are not happy with the leasing role set by France in organizing a multinational force

Obsession to Destroy Hizbullah Troubles US, Zionist officials

On another hand, the Wikileaks cables also revealed that then enemy War Minister Amir Peretz said that, "Hizbullah is capable of pretending that it won just because of its resistance".
As for the UN Special Envoy to Lebanon Terry Rod Larsen, according to Wikileaks, he requested from "Israeli" officials to supply him with any information about Hizbullah attempts to arming after war.

During the meetings he held in Tel Aviv after the war, Larsen stated, "The "Israelis" are looking forward to see each of Germany and Spain contributing troops to monitor the Lebanese-Syrian borders, to prevent rearming Hizbullah".

On another hand, US Congress Member Nancy Johnson warned Zionist officials that, "Tel Aviv might not be capable of ending its task and defeat Hizbullah through only military means". She added, addressing many Congress members that, "The military operation might create new enemies to "Israel", as mush at it will destroy it at its own war".
