Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem considered that the atmosphere, which is full of challenges in Lebanon, is also full of attempts to mislead, also referring to that there are some sides that aim at getting hold of power in any means.

On another level, Sheikh Qassem stated, "Wikileaks cables reveal that some Lebanese are a major part of serving the "Israeli" scheme, where they have played their roles during the July aggression while Lebanon was located between the poles of strength and weakness, and between imposing its national conditions, or being banned from its patriotism and freedom.

Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed, "In these tough and complicated moments, some sides in Lebanon acted in the basis that Lebanon is part of the US-"Israeli" scheme, and not that it is part of the national and internal choices' project".

Concerning the Wikileaks cables, Sheikh Qassem said, "For us, as Hizbullah, these documents did not make us more convinced in anything we weren't convinced of in 2006, and they did not provide us with extra information, other than those we already possessed."
His Eminence added, "You have heard from Hizbullah Secretary General, and from Hizbullah and opposition leaders in general, stances which imply these evidences which we purchased and were acquainted to."

Sheikh Qassem clarified that its value now, through being published, is that the public opinion took a direct look at them, and doesn't need to only rely on information and analysis, for the information are now in reach, and confirm Hizbullah's credibility.

In the same context, Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General added that the aforementioned documents, through the discussions and presentations which occurred with then US Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman, affirmed that many of those who went to the US Embassy and met with Feltman, give out information they possess and they encourage the other partied to exploit it against Hizbullah.

His Eminence also pointed out that the questions asked by Feltman puts the figures he met in a position where they present services, which would help the US-"Israeli" scheme.
Furthermore, Sheikh Naim Qassen noted that the Wikileaks published cables showed the total enmity of some parties towards the resistance.

He added, addressing the anti-resistance parties, "We received the message of some of the March 14 parties, that they don't want the resistance, even if the Shibaa farms remained occupied, even if the "Israeli" airplanes threaten the Lebanese airspace for years and years, and even if the human and telecommunications espionage networks are found in all Lebanon".

Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed, "We believes the power of Lebanon lies in its army, people, and resistance; and the equation will always be there in the field, and no statements will shake it. We want to build Lebanon, and to protect its sovereignty through the harmony of the power trio: army, people and resistance".
