MP Jumblatt Urges Fast Formation of Government, Says Internal Obstacles Should be Overcome

Head of National Struggle Front, MP Walid Jumblatt confirmed in an interview with An-Nahar newspaper, that he encouraged the quick formation of the government, because it would represent a guarantee for stability, and a protection for institution, financial merits and others.

Upon question MP Jumblatt affirmed that there are internal obstacles delaying the government formation; that is why these details should be stepped over onto further issues.

MP Walid Jumblatt pointed out that the resistance and civil peace should be protected, adding that the special relations with Syria should be confirmed.

Whether he discussed the Lebanese governmental issue with Syria President Bashar Assad during their last meeting, MP Jumblatt stated both sides went over this issue, but stressed that the government and its formation remain to be and internal issue.
