MP Kanaan: National Partnership, Understanding with Hizbullah Enhance Lebanon’s Independence

Lebanese Change and Reform Bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan confirmed that what MP Michel Aoun is requesting today, on the level of ministerial portfolio distribution, is not concerned with his personally, but rather is concerned with the majority of Christians he represents and with the Parliamentary Bloc he heads.

In an interview with Al-Diyar newspaper, Kanaan stressed that the Free Patriotic Movement has the will to continue with the reform sample, which met success through heading the Money and Budget Parliamentary Commission.
MP Ibrahim Kanaan affirmed that the movement is not the obstacle that stands in the way of forming the government, referring to the importance of tackling the constitutional gap, and the government formation in Lebanon.

Regarding what was revealed on Wikileaks, said on his behalf, Kanaan noted that the openness on Hizbullah or other parties, would be in the framework of serving the government institutions, and protecting Lebanon as a united country capable of confronting all challenges.

Change and Reform Bloc MP clarified that Lebanon will not be subject to any threats in the Arab countries, although it is affected by their current revolutions.
He stressed that national partnership, and spreading the experience of understanding with Hizbullah, represent the mutual base that protects from the collapse of the regimes, and enhances independence.
