Iranian, Lebanese Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral, Regional Developments

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi received on Monday his Lebanese counterpart Ali Shami, who on his part is currently visiting Iran to take part in the International Nawruz Festivals.
According to Mehr news agency, both sides discussed in this meeting the development of the bilateral relations between Tehran and Beirut, in addition to the bilateral cooperation on the various levels.

Salehi and Shami also spoke about the latest developments and important matters on both the regional and international levels.

On his behalf, Minister Ali Akbar Salehi referred during the meeting, to the good relations and tight cooperation between both countries' officials and peoples, describing the Lebanese people as resisting and smart.

On another hand, Minister Ali Shami delivered Lebanese President Michel Suleiman's greetings, and those of Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri, also describing the Iranian-Lebanese relations as firm.

Furthermore, he confirmed Lebanon's will to develop its cooperation with Iran on many levels, including railways and energy transmitting tubes, considering it position cooperation.
Both sides also went over the latest updates in the Middle East, and Minister Shami explained to his Iranian counterpart the latest political situation in the region and Lebanon.
