Sheikh Qassem: Government Formation Efforts in Efficient Pace, Wagers on Lebanon’s Defeat Failed

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem received a delegation from the Beiruti Union Party, led by Head of the party, former MP Adnan Arakji, where both parties discussed the latest developments on the Arab and Lebanese levels, especially regarding the government formation.
Both parties stressed on the importance of speeding up the formation of the government which should set its priorities to confront the Special Tribunal for Lebanon conspiracy, protect Lebanon from the repercussions of any decision issued by it, and protect the resistance because it is the guarantee to confront any "Israeli" aggression.
They also affirmed that the new government should set a new election law that would rely on a proportional system, and should tackle unsolved social and livelihood issues.
Sheikh Qassem on his part said that the government formation is taking place in an efficient pace. He also hoped the government would be formed very soon, where it is needed now to look over the interests of the people and take care of its responsibility.
Moreover, Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General stated that wagers on Lebanon's failure in all levels will not stop, affirming that those wagers are wrong, and have proved failure time after time.
Sheikh Qassem said, "They have wagered on Lebanon, but Lebanon achieved victory, and they wagered on "Israel", but it was defeated in Lebanon. They also wagered on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon to amend the balance of powers, but it quivered and still is quivering".
"The people have expressed their resistance choices and their belief in the resistance, army, and people equation", Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed.
His Eminence added, "There is no fear from what is happening in the region, for the current movements are a duplicate of the resistance and the choice of confronting the US-"Israeli" scheme".
On the Syrian level, Sheikh Qassem stated that Syria is in a good stage, regarding its leadership and people, and it is heading towards immunization through the popular union and the proposed reforms.
