Berri: Mikati Lineup on Track, Heading to Safe Shore

Speaker Nabih Berri confirmed on Friday in remarks to As-Safir newspaper that he suggested a way out of the difficulties that are facing the new government formation, but refused to give its details.

He pointed out that during a phone call with PM-Designate Najib Mikati, he suggested "solving the complications facing the government lineup."

In his remarks, Berri also confirmed that the "Miqati lineup" is heading to a "safe shore" and will eventually see the light. 

Meanwhile, the premier-designate's circles described Najib Miqati's efforts to form a new government as "positive," denying that he intends to give up his task. PM-Designate Mikati on Thursday visited Lebanese President Michel Suleiman in context of consultations concerning the formation of the government.
