Minister Shami: Crisis Unit to be Formed to Follow Up Lebanese Community’s Status in Ivory Coast

Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Shami announced that Lebanon will establish a crisis unit to follow up the situation of the Lebanese community in the Ivory Coast.
In a TV interview, Shami stated that he spoke to the Lebanese Ambassador to Abidjan and asked him to contact the UN forces these, a request protection for the Lebanese community.
He pointed out that a French helicopter saved a Lebanese family on Thursday from the roof of a building which was being robbed.
Minister Ali Shami also clarified that the French forces were capable of evacuating between 300 and 400 Lebanese people from the African country.
