Berri Prepares to Lift Immunity Off Jarrah, Khoury to Take Judicial Action

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri sources told As-Safir newspaper that the latter awaits the completion of a file on the Syrian accusations to the Future Bloc MP Jamal Al Jarrah that proves his involvement in the Syria events. The sources explained that he will then present the file to take action, advising Al Jarrah to calm down since he is so sure the accusations against him are false.
On his part, the head of the Higher Lebanese Syrian Council, Nasri Khoury, said he would start contacts with the judiciaries and the prosecutions of the two countries to deal with the Syrian accusations against the Future movement MP Jamal Al Jarrah.

Khoury told As-Safir daily in remarks published Monday that President Michel Suleiman informed him during their meeting over the weekend that he should follow-up the issue to "have a clear picture" on the accusations.

Khoury explained that "Suleiman stressed his concern of Syria's stability, and his rejection that Lebanon be an origin to any action that affect's Syria's security.
