Berri Decorates Al Kharafi Commodore Cedar Medal In The Name of President Suleiman

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in the name of President Michel Sleiman decorated Sheikh Naser Al Kharafi a Cedar medal for his efforts and benevolence in Lebanon.

On this occasion, Berri addressed the participants in the memorial service of Al Kharafi, topped by the Kuwaiti Emir Subah al Ahmad Subah and the Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Jassem Al Kharafi. He said "This Commodore National Cedar Medal in the name of the Lebanese President Michel Suleiman goes to the man who loved Lebanon, just like Lebanon loved him, a man who who fought for Lebanon, and paid a high price for Lebanon. [This Medal] goes to the big brother and dear friend the deceased Nasser Al Kharafi."

In a televised statement, Berri paid homage, then said "Kuwait, with its Emir and Parliament Speaker, reaching the brother Nasser Al Kharafi has stood long beside Lebanon and had a big influence in reconstructing Lebanon after the "Israeli" (2006) aggressions on our country. It also has presented huge contributions to rebuild what "Israel" destructed allover Lebanon. It is enough to recall Maroun Al Ras as an example; it is the village that Sheikh Nasser Al Kharafi -May his soul rest in peace- rebuilt."
