Sayyed Safiedine: Whoever Stands in Face of Resistance Will be Defeated

Head of Hizbullah Executive Council Sayyed Hashem Safieddine said that efforts spared during the last few days led to a substantial progress in resolving a major deadlock in relation to the government formation process, noting, however, that some issues still need follow up.

Speaking during a religious and cultural event in Beirut's southern suburb on Saturday, Sayyed Safieddine said that efforts were ongoing to complete the government formation in the few coming days in order to pave the way for the government to assume its responsibilities at the political and developmental levels.

Sayyed Safieddin undermined the value of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) charged with finding the killers of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. His eminence said the STL is becoming weaker day after another, pointing to the scandals surrounding it.
"Whoever stands in the face of the Resistance will be defeated, whether in Lebanon or in the region," his eminence highlighted.
