MP Nabil Nicolas: All initiatives are rejected by the US

MP Nabil Nicolas of the Change and Reform bloc said that the opposition is standing against the US-Zionist plan imposed on it by the pro-government party.
"They are fooling the Lebanese people. All efforts and initiatives are being rejected by the US because it is seeking the normalization of Palestinians in Lebanon and the displacement of Christians," Nicolas said.
"The pro-government party's decision lies in the hand of the US," he told the Hizbullah-run Al-Manar television station.
He also said that the opposition is pushing for Army Commander General Michel Sleiman to become an arbiter once he is elected as president.
"The US-Zionist plan for the region is not concerned with the Christians in the Middle East. It is seeking the displacement of Christians and then Shia in order to naturalize Palestinians and turn Lebanon into a substitute for the Palestinian state and to overlook their right of return," Nicolas said.
