MP Hassan Fadlallah calls for dialogue based on partnership and representation
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 14-1-2008
MP Hassan Fadlallah of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc accused the US administration of hampering solutions in Lebanon.
"The US administration does not want those opposing its policy in Lebanon and the region to become influential in decision-making because it would prevent US tutelage over Lebanon," Fadlallah said in an Ashura-related ceremony.
"The US president's talk of Palestinian calls for indemnities signals his desire for their naturalization, as opposition leaders warned," he said.
He also accused the US of seeking to place the whole region under "Israeli" hegemony. "It missed the fact that the Lebanese people are committed to martyrdom and to loving their country and will not surrender to the aggressor, no matter how strong it is.
"We remain open to dialogue on the basis of true partnership and representation in order to save our country and look for a safe future," Fadlallah added.
