Sheikh Qassem: Lebanon Needs Excellent Relationships with Syria, US Trying to Overthrow Lebanon

He further said:"If the "Israeli" occupations in Palestine have led to the displacement of nearly six million Palestinians in various parts of the world, believing that "Israel" can hold on to the rest and to impose its occupation, the scene brings us back to the right of returning back after 63 years."

Double Standards

In a speech at a religious ceremony, Qassem said "this scene provokes questions in our head: Where is the Security Council from what has happened and which led to the deaths of more than ten people and injured hundreds more? Isn't the matter worthy enough that the Security Council meets and punish Israel? They claim to be with the right of demonstration and we were in front of a peaceful demonstration; they claim that they refuse to fire on the demonstrators but although we were systematically killed by the Zionists, we found that the major powers and the Security Council covered the atrocities of "Israel"."

"We had enough lessons from the Security Council on the Arab revolutions. We had enough lessons from the United States on human rights and the rights to demonstrate, because we are witnessing double standards, especially in the adoption of the "Israeli" project."

Sheikh Qassem clarified that "If America wants to look good, its administration must study today's survey that was published by an international institution in a number of Arab and Islamic countries, where it came to a conclusion that the level of hatred of America is increasing day after day in all our Arab and Islamic countries so that the percentage of people's hatred in some countries hatred reached 89 and 90 percent."

Insisting on the resistance, Sheikh Kassem pointed out that "When we took the decision of the continuity and readiness of the resistance, we always look that the enemy will not stop its expansionist project unless through resistance...Palestinians will not return to their land only through resistance, that is what we have learned and this is what we have seen clearly".

Lebanon and Syria

The Deputy Secretary General of Hizbullah said "those who use Lebanon as a platform to damage Syria in its crisis and in its present situation, thinking that they are so strong and that they contribute to the new Middle East project, will be disappointed because the American project in the region as a whole is failing with the lapses it contain."

Moving on, Qassem stressed "that in spite of the U.S. intensive presence and that they are trying to absorb the consequences of the Arab revolution, but tell me where America has succeeded in the end? It is enough to use Lebanon as a security platform against Syria; we must recognize that Lebanon needs to be in a positive and excellent relationship with Syria, let the Syrians address their own affairs in a manner of communication between the regime and its people."

Formation of the Government

Regarding the formation of the government, Sheikh Qassem said "We are not comfortable with this delay in the formation of the government, and we are making a great effort to get it to the safe side for the interest of the people, and the reason for the delay is obvious to everyone."

Sheikh Qassem added "We should not hear the American Media conditions, which Connelly said or Feltman or others may say, because any US condition placed in the way of government is to overthrow Lebanon and not is not in its interest," concluding that " the government is a step on the path of reform, but not everything. The road is too long for reforms in various areas. And therefore if some succeeded in a corner and failed to in another; during the formation of the government, this is not the end ...We have much work to do to win and make people win. "
