Sheikh Qassem: 2000 Victory Led to 2006 Defeat of “Israel”

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem said "It has been proven that the Resistance's capability to impose adjustments in the path of the region is significant."
In a statement to As-Safir newspaper, Sheikh Qassem said that the (2000) liberation has led to a strategic move, which indicates the beginning of "Israeli" collapse. He added that "this liberation created a cultural mobilization in Palestine and the region, in such a way that lifted the depression and found a new equation, that of victory rather than defeat."
"Therefore, it is right to say that with liberation, the time of victories has come, even though it is a long path. We do not think we will achieve all our goals at once in a short period of time, because such needs bringing efforts together and keeping the ground ready. But the main principle is that the flame of Resistance remains lit," Sheikh Qassem explained.
His Eminence further explained that the liberation was not just a coincidence; in fact it is the base of the continuous changes and repercussions, saying "We consider the 2000 victory as the reason behind defeating the enemy in the year 2006, and at the gates of the Gaza Strip".
Hizbullah Deputy S-G went on "Today, "Israel" is searching for its security and legitimacy, while we stand before an era as "Israel" suffers a crisis of existence." His Eminence reiterated that in light of the Arab revolutions, the Inter-Palestinian agreement and the readiness of the Resistance, we are before a new effective phase.
On another note, As-Safir said that there is no justification for the delay in government formation, and that there is still room for forming one. Most important of all, Sheikh Qassem said, that the Americans should not be given the chance to complicate the government formation process in Lebanon.
