Head of the Lebanese Marada Movement Suleiman Franjieh said he stands by the Resistance. In an interview with Al Nour radio station, Franjieh said that he has inherited the relationship with the Resistance from his ancestors, a relation that was enhanced after the 2000 liberation. He revealed that all the meetings that took place with Western ambassadors were about the Resistance arms.
Furthermore, Franjeih saw that the new majority was not mistaken to choose Prime Minister-Designate Najib Mikati to form a government. He further said that the government formation has been hampered due to US and international huge pressure. As for the Syrian situation, Franjieh assured that huge quantities of arms are being smuggled from Lebanon to Syria, but he reiterated that Syria and its regime will not collapse.
Concerning the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), the Marada leader said that the majority of the Lebanese people are convinced it is a politicized tribunal.
