Aoun: Syria Facing Psychological War, Conspiracy Is Not Small

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said that "there is no doubt that Syria is subjected today to a revolutionary war that is no longer protests or demonstrations demanding reform especially after President Bashar al-Assad had promised to apply the reforms."
In an interview to the Syrian channel "al- Duniah", Aoun confirmed on Friday that "there are sleeping cells in the Syrian Arab Republic moving under the demand and there is an effort in the borders areas because they are easy to be supplied with food and they can be converted into green areas belonging to the rebels."
Calling the Syrian army to "control the sleeping cells" across the country, Aoun stressed that "awareness is the key to repel the conspiracy that is sought against Syria."
"There is a psychological war against the Syrian people and the conspiracy is not small," Aoun added clarifying that "we lived such a plot during the 2006 "Israeli" aggression, but our resistance has succeeded in putting an end to the possibility of the "Israeli" victory. We hope that the conspiracy against Syria is to end but it will take some time and what matters is the stability of the Syrian people and their steadfastness in the resistance because if there is weakness, all the gains are to be gone keeping in mind that the aim is to dismantle and resisting forces to "Israel"."
In the same context, Aoun accused some Lebanese parties of acting against Syria. "There are members of Lebanese movements whose statements confirm that they are against the [regime] in Syria."
The Change and Reform bloc leader also addressed the cabinet-formation process in Lebanon, saying the problem is not with him.
"There is more than one hesitant party that is obstructing the government's formation," Aoun said, voicing hope the government would be formed soon.
