Lebanese Army: False Attempt to Show Army Unable to Control Border Threatens Security, Stability

Commenting on "Future Bloc" MP Mouein al- Mura'bi statement that the army has failed to protect citizens, and that it had reduced its numbers on the northern borders, the Guidance Directorate of the Army Command issued a statement that said "His statement is completely wrong. The army leadership is deliberately, since months, strengthening its forces in the region in a dramatic manner anxious of the possibility that the situation worsens."
"The army is working day and night to maintain the safety of citizens, in addition to working to prevent the infiltration of all kinds of illegal smuggling in both directions." The army added.

"Attempting to falsely show that the army is unable to control the border, forms a justification to perform operations that threatens the security and the stability of the region especially if this is said by a politician who has a well known history in his attempts to insult and question the role of the military establishment, which will remain in the absolute conditions a watchful eye on the security of citizens as well on the entire territory of the homeland." The Guidance Directorate of the Army Command concluded.
