Moussawi: Gas Drilling Is a Gov’t Priority

The member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Nawaf Moussawi said that "We worked for months to overcome the obstacles that stood in face of the formation of the government and formed a government in the spirit of sacrifice when House Speaker Nabih Berri took a decision that is viewed as a precedent in terms of beaching customs in the distribution of cabinet seats between the three basic sects."
In his statement, Moussawi considered that "this initiative confirms once again that the conflict in Lebanon is not sectarian and that our team doesn't aim at controlling power to provide it to this sector this religion."
"The initiative is a confirmation that this team that we belong to gives the priority to the interest of the country and its safety." al-Moussawi said adding that "what happened should be read well as an opportunity that all the Lebanese and the entire Muslim world understand that this resistance and its popular base has the preservation of the nation and the country ahead of all other priorities."
The MP emphasized that "this government will act as the government of all Lebanese and regardless of their different affiliations" noting that " one of the first priorities of the next government is to complete implementation procedures to start drilling gas, because this is the available resource to get Lebanon from its economic crisis."
