As-Sayyed: Sectarian Statements Tools to Distort Our Role

The head of Hizbullah's Political Council His Eminence Sayyed Ibrahim Amin As-Sayyed said that "we aren't facing any one, not the Shiites, Sunnis and Christians in Lebanon, but rather we are confronting US and "Israel"."

Stressing that Hizbullah is not seeking authority nor for a ministerial or parliamentary post, he added: "We are after for a site and a role for our nation and Palestine through Lebanon."

Sayyed Ibrahim Amin As-Sayyed revealed that there are people who want to delete our role, and the sectarian statements are among the tools and means to bring down and distort our role."

"What is happening in Syria is a U.S. attempt to bring Syria's role with respect to the region and Palestine down," he explained adding that "if Syria gives up its role in the region as well as in Palestine, it will become one of US best friends."

As-Sayyed pointed out that "any disagreement among Muslims serves US interests."
