Hoss: Lebanon Must Launch Initiative

Former Prime Minister Salim Hoss called Prime Minister Najib Mikati, to "put a vision and then starts to take action according to it at the level of the nation."
Representing the "National Platform", Hoss stressed that "The goal should be to hold an Arab summit to discuss the current Arab situation and to build on that to face the imbalance in the current situation."
In the statement released today, Hoss hoped that "Lebanon's role is activated to move the Arab situation, so that an initiative of our small country so that it could drive a development in the region in the desired direction," pointing out that "It is true that Lebanon is one of the smallest countries Arab, but on what we believe has a respectable position that allows him to try."
"The Arab kings and presidents are in deep sleep, the region is swinging with ongoing events and developments and the Arab leaders are standing still. We hear that this or that foreign country is moving to intervene to remedy the great, but we, the Arab act as if nothing matters."He added.
