A UN rapporteur strictly slammed on Thursday the UN report issued on the "Israeli" raid against the Turkish Mavi-Marmara Gaza-bound ship on 31 May, 2010, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.

The special rapporteur Olivier De Schutter's office issued a statement which read, "The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Prof. Olivier De Schutter, has received a draft of this report and he firmly opposes its conclusions".

The statement further added, "Tomorrow, the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will release a statement supporting the legality of the "Israeli" intervention against the 2010 ‘Gaza Freedom Flotilla'."
However, Olivier De Schutter affirmed in his statement that the blockade and the "Israeli" intervention clearly violate international law and the human right to food.

The UN-based Palmer report is said to claim that the "Israeli" blockade on the Gaza Strip is legal, however demanded an "Israeli" apology to Turkey.
On this level, Turkey refused to sign the UN-founded report for considering the siege on the impoverished territory as legal. On its part, "Israel" is unlikely to present any apology to Turkey, believing that an official apology would harm "Israel's" national dignity and humiliate the soldiers.
