Shaaban: Dialogue, Reform Ongoing for Syria’s Welfare
Local Editor
Syrian President's Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban stated that Syria is doing the least it can due to the ongoing protests.
Furthermore, Shaaban believed that US Ambassador Robert Ford's visit to the Syrian city of Hama represents an attempt to prevent resolving the current local issue.
In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Shaaban wondered, "How did the US Ambassador arrive in Hama through roads interrupted by "armed people and sabotages"?
She also further wondered, "Who prevented the citizens from reaching their working departments?" in reference to the sabotaging operations conducted by anti-government protesters.
On another hand, Shaaban stressed that "dialogue and reform are ongoing in the country, and Syria will be safe and sound".
