Iranian Head of Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddine Boroujerdi strongly criticized on Sunday the anti-Iran statement of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano.

Amano's statement came during a conference on disarmament in Matsumoto city in Japan, where he claimed that Iran was not cooperating with the IAEA on its undeclared activities.

On his part, Boroujerdi affirmed that in its reports over the Iranian nuclear program, the international nuclear agency indicated full Iranian cooperation on the nuclear level, further marking the contradiction between both positions.
The Iranian official also added that through this stance, the UN agency is following the US-led provocation, aiming at putting pressure on Iran in line with the US political goals.

The US has been seeking to impose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, claiming Iran is planning on possessing nuclear weapons.
Iran however has strictly confirmed that its domestic nuclear program is peaceful, where the country stands as an IAEA state member, and a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

On another hand, Head of Russian Center of Military Forecasts Anatoly Tsyganok said on Sunday that the US no longer has any ability to impose sanctions of any kind against Iran.

In an interview with Iranian Republic News Agency, Tsygonak stated, "The US has always been facing numerous problems while imposing sanctions on Iran, however the US problems has presently multiplied so that the country has actually become bankrupt".

He further affirmed that unlike the US, Iran is now witnessing great economic times; a fact acknowledged by the enemies of the Islamic Republic.
"Iran has managed to make striking progress in economic, industrial, and military fields despite the imposition of sanctions on Iran", the Russian military analyst added.
