Horrible Kill, Distort to Army Bodies,Al-Assad Visits the Wounded
Local Editor
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad visited a number of wounded army forces personnel who were injured during confrontations with armed groups.
Al-Assad checked in on the personnel, listened to their stories about how they were injured, and inquired supervising doctors about the injured men's health conditions, wishing them a speedy recovery.
He also congratulated the wounded men on occasion of Army Day and Ramadan, lauding "the sacrifices of the army and armed forces which constitute the basis of Syria's security and stability," saying that "they are appreciated by all the Syrian people and show the noble values of the military establishment that sacrificed much to preserve the country."
Meanwhile, an official source informed "SANA" that "armed groups began an intense armed assault tactic on Monday using live ammo and Molotov cocktails against official and police departments in the city of Hama."
The source said that "armed men carrying machineguns are using motorbikes and some of them are stationed on rooftops and that at dawn they began opening fire heavily on departments, targeting windows and entrances."
"The army is still pursuing its mission of removing the roadblocks set by saboteur groups on the city's main entrances, and that a wide scale conflict is taking place since these groups are organized into units and use advanced weapons, in addition to laying traps in main streets," the source added.
The Syrian TV on Monday broadcasted videos of masked armed groups walking the streets of Hama City, setting up roadblocks dominating the City's main squares and targeting the army, the law-enforcement members and the citizens with guns, firearms, cold steel weapons and pump-action rifles.
The videos showed a number of armed members as they stationed on rooftops of some building and balconies, opened fire and sniped at army and law enforcement members while other members stationed on rooftops, burned tires, set up cement roadblocks in the main streets.
Some of these armed groups were filmed while transporting the bodies of army members in a car and trailing them on the ground before throwing them into the Orontes River.
