The "Israeli" occupation forces are considering installing the Arrow anti-missile system on new missile ships which they are planning to acquire; a plan which is still under review, the Jerusalem Post reported.

In this context, the daily added that the General Staff has not yet decided whether it will buy two new surface vessels, with an estimated cost of over $500 million. The General Staff is expected to make a decision regarding this issue in the upcoming weeks.
The "Israeli" enemy navy had previously decided to buy the US Navy's littoral combat ship, however after the price soared, "Israel" backed away from the deal, hoping to get some time to study the budget.

Furthermore, the navy's intention behind installing the Arrow anti-missile system on navy ships, is to make the system mobile, and be able to deploy it far from the country in events of a conflict, the Jerusalem Post added.
Moreover, the "Israeli" General Staff believes that such a step would enable the entity to ensure "survivability of key capabilities" if ground anti-missile systems are damaged.
