"Israeli" Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon expressed disapproval on Monday over the Turkish demand that "Israel" should issue an official apology for the brutal massacre it committed on March 2010 against the Gaza-bound Turkish Mavi-Marmara ship, which killed nine Turkish activists.

Furthermore, speaking to "Israel" Radio, Yaalon called the Turkish request "rude".
Yaalon's remarks came after he attended a forum into discussing the publication of the UN-founded Palmer report investigating the "Israeli"-Turkish dilemma, the Jerusalem Post reported.
"There was a provocation here that the Turkish government is also responsible for. It wasn't our side that spoiled relations, and I expect they will not [restore diplomatic relations] even after the apology", the Zionist deputy Prime Minister stated.

Two weeks earlier, Moshe Yaalon clarified that while "Israel" agreed to express regrets over the "Mavi-Marmara" incident, it would not apologize, clarifying that apologizing means taking responsibility for the action.
The Palmer inquiry into investigating the "Israeli" assault on Turkey's Mavi-Marmara has been postponed for about a month, in an attempt to reach a formula to renew diplomatic ties between both sides.

The report is expecting to convict "Israeli" forces for using excessive force against activist on board. However, while Turkey is still insistent on receiving an official "Israeli" apology and compensation for the assault, "Israel" reiterates it will not apologize, because it refuses to take responsibility for the attack.
