The Syrian community in Lebanon organized Monday a mass march in Beirut to express support for the comprehensive reform program in Syria and rejection of foreign interference in the internal affairs.

Condemning the crimes of the armed terrorist gangs committed against law-enforcement personnel and civilians, the participants chanted national Syrian slogans.

Upon arrival at the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) HQ, the participants handed a memo to its official directed to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, in which they reiterated rejection of any foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs and denounced the acts of the armed terrorist gangs which are funded by some external powers to undermine the internal stability.

"We, the members of the Syrian community in Lebanon, stress our absolute rejection of all forms of foreign interference in Syria's domestic affairs and our adherence to the leadership of Mr. President Bashar Hafez al-Assad," the delegation said in the letter.

"We also condemn the acts of the armed terrorist groups that are being driven by outside forces with the aim of undermining domestic stability, emphasizing on the immunity of the Syrian society and its legitimate institutions in foiling the hostile schemes," the expats added, calling on the U.N. "not to employ its organizations in the service of some influential nations."
