The US administration is applying pressure on the "Israeli" enemy to apologize to the Turkish government over the attack on the Gaza-bound Turkish Mavi-Marmara, in an attempt to stabilize the "Israeli"-Turkish relations.

Zionist Yedioth Ahronoth reported that "Israeli" diplomats in the US delivered a communiqué from the US State Department and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in which the latter stated that the deterioration of the Zionist entity's ties with Ankara is harming the US interests in the region.
In light of the current developments in Syria, the US is seeking to strengthen its ties with the Turkish government, especially that both share the goal of ending Bashar al-Assad's reign.

On this level, it serves the US interests if the "Israeli" enemy agrees to apologize over the flotilla attack, trying to reinstall diplomatic relations.
During talks with "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak, Clinton voiced US demand urging Barak that "Israel" should do all what it can to end this crisis, including presenting an apology to Turkey.

As the deadline for the Palmer report submission approaches, the US pressure grows, where US officials are implying that if "Israeli" refused to apologize to Turkey, it would be difficult for the US administration to persuade other nations to reject the Palestinian UN statehood bid in September.

On the other hand, Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that Turkey, being aware of the situation, is now applying its own pressure on the UN to postpone the Palmer report submission until the Zionist entity issues an official apology.
