Sayyed Nasrallah: Indictment Unjust, Copy of Media Leaks

Local Editor
"Unveiling the indictment and declassifying its content before the Chamber of First Court holds its first trial meeting, aims to keep the indictment alive after it lost the element of surprise and making the supposed shock," "as-Safir" commented Thursday.
Not only "one can conclude", but he could be certain that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon failed in delivering any evidence of any type to its false accusations on the Murder of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.
The American - "Israeli" pen that wrote the indictment succeeded only in raising confidence that the STL conspiracy forms a high level of injustice and politicization against honorable members of the resistance.
What for?
"Israel's" failure in avenging its successful military defeats must be erased politically.
Indictment Born Dead
The STL announced Wednesday that Pre-Trial Judge Daniel Fransen has ordered that his decision confirming the tribunal's indictment for the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri, as well as the indictment itself, be made public.
In his indictment, The Attorney General Daniel Bellemare excessively repeated phrases like "it can be concluded" and "reasonable conclusion". The dozen of semi conclusions permitted, according to Bellmare, the accusation of innocent people through a list of phone numbers without having any record of the supposed calls.
The tele-communication evidence was born dead for two considerations:
"first, it was based on linking the spatial and temporal aspects between a group of phone calls and not on the content of the calls, which allows to question the efficiency of this evidence, after it was known that the technical development and new technologies allow "Israel" or other developed countries to penetrate the contact's network contacts, set line segments, and manufacture phone calls," "as-Safir" Lebanese newspaper uncovered.
The paper explains the second consideration by stating that "many experts in the legal field confirm that the data of communication does not constitute criminal evidence, assuming the fact that this data is true."
"The main weakness points in the indictment are probably represented by the fact that it allowed itself to slip into analyses rather than abiding by unquestionable facts and replaced conclusive evidence with circumstantial ones. The least one can say about it, according to competent referential sources, is that it is scanty and of modest proportions," "as-Safir" continued.
For its part, "al-Akhbar" newspaper reported that "the new published indictment came with nothing new. Its content was stated in November 2010 report broadcasted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The only new thing is linking some names to some phone numbers."
"The indictment lacks any new information that wasn't previously published after the barrage of leaks, which came as a clear political behest and at studied periods of time," the paper clarified.
Apart from evidences, the supposed "fair" tribunal adopted the US view that classified Hizbullah as a "terrorist" organization by claiming in the paragraph 59 of resolution that "the military wing of Hizbullah was involved in terrorist operations in the past."
Sayyed Nasrallah: Indictment Based on Conclusions, Seeks Strife
Clear, sure, strong, and honest was the Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in his reply to unveiling the content of STL indictment.
"What has been published proves that everything we had said is correct concerning the non-transparency of the investigation and that it had been leaked to several newspapers and the Canadian television. Simply, I call on the Lebanese to read the Der Spiegel report," His Eminence stressed.
Clarifying that the indictment is not based on direct evidence, but rather on telecom data, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that "with the help of official authorities and international experts, we have categorically proven the extent of "Israel's" manipulation of the Lebanese telecom sector and that the mobile phone numbers of certain people were used without their knowledge, and this alone is sufficient to contest the indictment."
"What's happening now is an attempt at undermining and sabotaging the social fabric, paving the ground for wars and civil strife, dragging the resistance into (strife) and consequently striking the resistance and harming its credibility," Sayyed Nasrallah said.
However, once again the fate of the sordid plot is the inevitable failure despite the hollow Lebanese applauses to the owners of black history in following US agenda and forgetting all about "Israeli" aggressions, even at the expense of body parts of children martyrs in Qana.
Sayyed Nasrallah stress that the "miserable Lebanese faces that we saw in August 14th 2006 can do more than just distort the truth" was clearly viewed on the political scene.
US rushed to urge Lebanon to work with the tribunal.
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland claimed that "the indictment was an important milestone in Lebanon's quest to put an end to political violence."
"We appreciate the work of the Special Tribunal and call on the government of Lebanon to continue to meet its obligations under international law to support the STL," Nuland said.
Similarly, former PM Saad Hariri and his representatives went in the fabricated symphony:
"Hizbullah and its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah should put an end to the policy of evading the STL, cooperate with the tribunal, and hand over the suspects in order to ensure the establishment of a fair trial," the man said.
Legislative, Ministerial Actions
Reporting that the issue of STL will be raised in the government's meeting Thursday, "al-Akhbar" pointed out that "what is more important to the ministers, however, is the issue of electricity which was the focus of an evening meeting between PM Najib Mikati and Energy Minister Jibran Bassil who did not reach an agreement, even though they made great progress."
According to the daily's sources close to the participants, the meeting went on until midnight and was attended by several ministers. PM Mikati and Minister Bassil reportedly achieved "tremendous progress that paves the way for bringing the two opinions closer to one another."
In a parallel Lebanese development, Parliament met Wednesday and approved a series of laws, notably a ban on smoking in public places in addition to amending judges' pay scale, a move that was rejected by Future Movement MPs as Future bloc head Fouad Siniora, who appeared to be holding onto his former Finance Ministry seat, who voiced opposition at improving public servant salaries.
Abbas Opens Palestinian Embassy
Meanwhile, on his second day of visit to Lebanon Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated the Palestinian embassy in Lebanon and hoisted the Palestinian flag atop its building.
"In these days, it delights us as Palestinians to see the Palestinian flag flying in the heart of Lebanon, in the heart of the Lebanese people and in the heart of every Lebanese who loves Palestine," Abbas said in front of the embassy.
"We will go together with Lebanon to the United Nations to seek a full membership for the state of Palestine at this international forum," Abbas added, hoping to "see the day when the Lebanese flag will be hoisted in al-Quds."
For his part, PM Mikati stressed "Lebanon's support for Palestine's membership at the UN General Assembly, especially that Lebanon will head the UN Security Council in September."
Mikati also asserted that "the Lebanese government will exert utmost efforts, within its available resources, to improve the living conditions of our Palestinian brothers residing in Lebanon."
