Wikileaks posted on Thursday a new document on its website revealing that Avigdor Lieberman, before becoming "Israeli" Foreign Minister, suggested that Egypt should give the Gaza Strip some of its territories.

According to a cable issued from 2006, illustrating a meeting between then US Ambassador Richard Jones and Lieberman, the latter suggested a demarcation of the border with the Palestinians, in a way that would include Egypt.
The leaked cable added that Lieberman suggested Egypt should be part of the regional conflict solution by giving some of its "overcrowded" territory to the Gaza Strip.

In a short document summarizing the meeting, then US Ambassador expressed his impression of Lieberman, stating that the latter is a stern nationalist and a supporter of the settlement project, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on its website according to Wikileaks.
The US Ambassador added in the document that Lieberman had told him that he prefers separating between "Israeli" Jews and "Israeli" Arabs, saying it is vital in order to maintain "Israel's" so-called security and preserve its Jewish identity.

Wikileaks added that there was a proposal that "Israel" redraws its borders with the West Bank, in order to place populated Arab-"Israeli" centers close to the Green Line within the Palestinian territory.
