Lebanese Poll: 61 % With Hizbullah Arms, 54% STL Politicized, 57% With The Syrian Regime Survival

Regarding the electricity draft presented by the Energy Minister Gibran Bassil, 67% of respondents gave the Ministry of Energy and Water the approval required to provide electricity while 26 percent opposed it and 7% didn't give an answer.
On another issue, more than half of respondents (54%) believed that the International Tribunal is politicized compared (26%) who considered fair, impartial, and non-politicized.
An opinion poll conducted by the "International Company for Information" via telephone in the period between 25 August - 27 August 2011, on a sample of 500 Lebanese were divided according to the sectarian size, regional, different age groups, and gender that a majority of 61% of respondents support that Hizbullah keeps its arms until a solution is reached in the region.
However, a quarter of respondents (26%), demanded the immediate disarmament of the party, while 13% replied that he is not concerned.
According to the poll, 47% of Lebanese expressed their belief that "the current government will be able to achieve economic development more than the previous governments, while (41%) denied that.
49%of the respondents said that the government does not deal maliciously on the administrative appointment subject.
On the other hand, 64% of the respondents expressed their support for the adoption of proportional law in the new parliamentary elections, compared to 16% who declared their rejection and 20% didn't give an answer.
In this context, it should be noted that only 28% of respondents believe that the government will compile a modern law and a democratic election away from the quotas and 48% disagreed while 24% refused to give an answer.
On the Arab and regional level, the poll showed that 57% of the Lebanese stand with the survival of the current regime in Syria while 18% preferred that the system falls.
