During a conference held in Tel Aviv, "Israeli" Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon continued his assault campaign against Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyeb Erdogan, referring that since Erdogan's government, Turkey has decided to turn east instead of west.

"Turkey turned into an Islamic republic from a secular republic", Yaalon claimed according to Yedioth Ahronoth.
After Turkish Prime Minister announced on Tuesday that his country would cut all defense-related trade with "Israel", relations between Turkey and "Israel" have witnessed a fallback and are heading towards the bottom.

In his remarks, Erdogan pointed out that there are more sanctions to take place regarding relations with "Israel", further describing the latter as a "spoiled child of the UN".

Whether "Israel" should apologize to Turkey over the "Israeli" attack on the Freedom Flotilla on May 31, 2011 killing nine activists, Yaalon affirmed, "We are talking about the phenomenon that goes beyond this specific incident". He further stated that the goal of this attempt is to defeat the so-called "State of "Israel"", adding that the matter cannot be settled through one word.

In this context, Yaalon believed that the attack on Mavi Marmara was a Turkish provocation, and that the "Israeli" soldiers did not mean harm.
