The Moscow Kremlin on Wednesday reiterated Russia's rejection of imposing sanctions on Syria.

An informed source at the Kremlin stated that Russia's stance regarding this issue remains unchanged, saying that "Russia doesn't see point in imposing such sanctions and stresses the need to carry out the reforms announced by the Syrian leadership."

The source said that main point now is putting an end to violence and death.

Similarly, China renewed rejection of any pressures on Syria, saying "the crisis should be solved through dialogue and consultations instead of pressures."

"Increasing pressure on Damascus won't offer solution; the right direction to solve the crisis is to start a comprehensive political process with Syria to be the main player," the statement added.

It added "We have to give the Syrian leadership more time to carry out the announced reforms."
