Around 300 anti-"Israeli" protesters gathered on Thursday in central Istanbul as a Turkish football team took on an "Israeli" team and beat in a Europa League match.

While holding Palestinian flags in Taksim square, Turkish demonstrators chanted "Murderer "Israel" get out of Turkey", and "Destruction of "Israel", freedom for Palestine", Agence France Presse reported.
A banner held by protesters read, "Imperialism will be defeated, the Islamic revolt will win the day".

Another banner stated, "We'll never forget the Mavi Marmara", while protesters shouted, "We don't want any Zionist murderers in our country, whether they are a diplomat, an artist, or a sportsperson".

Turkey has expelled the "Israeli" ambassador in its country, and cut all diplomatic and military ties between them, after the "Israeli" enemy refused to apologize over its attack on the Gaza-bound Turkish convoy.
