Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu left the international anti-terror conference held in New York on Monday, moments before Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon was about to speak, Ynet news website reported.

The "Israeli" news website noted that Ayalon has a muddied personal history with Turkish officials, when he summoned the Turkish Ambassador to "Israel" in 2010, and made him sit on a chair lower than his own; an act that humiliated the Turkish diplomat.
However, Davutoglu would have left the meeting whether the "Israeli" speaker was Ayalon or someone else, for it is common that "Israeli" diplomats leave as "Israeli" counterparts are about to speak in international gatherings, especially after the latest degraded ties between both parties.

The Turkish-"Israeli" relations started deteriorating after the "Israeli" 2008-2009 aggression on Gaza, where Turkey strictly condemned the Zionist siege imposed on the impoverished area. Tensed ties later on reached the peak after the May 31, 2010 "Israeli" naval assault on the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara aid ship, killing nine Turkish activists.
