"Israeli" occupation forces Chief of Staff General Benny Gantz told his soldiers on Monday that readiness is a "moral obligation", according to the ""Israel" National News" website.

Addressing members of the occupying Kfir brigade, Gantz stated that "Israel" and the military forces are not at the mouth of a complex period that bears new challenges.
"Over the past few months we saw a large-scale processes that changed the face of the Middle East in unprecedented ways" Gantz stated, "The consequences of the chaos that took hold of the region can see now the different fronts".

Furthermore, Gantz strictly criticized the planned budget cut on the "Israeli" military, in order to satisfy the demands of the social protests. The ""Israel" National News" website quoted Benny Gantz as saying, "The "Israeli" occupation forces must be prepared for any challenge it faces, and therefore it cannot compromise on service".
"The duty of preparedness and operation readiness is a moral obligation [...] This obligation is to safeguard the security and future of "Israel"", Zionist Chief of Staff claimed.

The "Israeli" news website pointed out that Gantz comments came amid the "uncomfortable relations with the post-Mubarak Cairo, a diplomatic row manufactured by Turkey, increased terrorism in "Israel's" south, and rising tension over the Palestinian statehood bid at the United Nations this coming Friday".
